Moving towards the Summer season, squads are looking to improve their chances to win more. It makes sense to shuffle around a bit with a team line up after a season. In the same way, individual players in a squad are also, usually looking to develop themselves as eSports professionals in their respective games. They do this by moving around to other teams, looking for opportunities to play in bigger leagues.
nerRage recently announced that Kia “Surreal” Man will be leaving the team to try out for compLexity. Most fans expected the nerdRage squad to stick together for a while, especially after their success at i57. But it seems like Surreal would rather take the shot at joining compLexity. Despite choosing to better himself, he does seem somewhat upset at leaving nerdRage.
This is what he had to say about the situation on his Twitter account:
“Sad to be leaving @NerdRage_pro, wish you guys all the best in the future xoxo @NeiL_Mcs @neilzinhoCSGO @Whindanski @somftw @CRUC1ALcsgo.”
What is surprising is the fact that Surreal will be leaving nerdRage less than a week after the organization locked the line up. Surreal will be moving to compete in America. The move will reunite him with his former CAS teammate Rory “dephh” Jackson, currently part of compLexity.
With Surreal trying out for the squad, compLexity’s line up looks like this:
Joshua “sancz” Ballenger, Daniel “roca” Gustaferri, Rory “dephh” Jackson, Josh “shinobi” Abastado, Shawn “witmer” Taylor (Trialling), Kia “Surreal” Man (Trialling), Danny “fRoD” Montaner (Reserve), and Matt “Warden” Dickens (Coach).
nerdRage will now be looking around the free agent pool for a fifth player. Although compLexity is a larger organization with more prestige to their name, a lot of fans would have had Surreal stick with this home team.
