Not surprising with the Spring season coming to an end, quite a lot of teams are looking to make necessary changes to their squads. Players leaving rosters and new ones filling their spots is pretty common with CS:GO teams.
The Summer season is kicking in with a multitude of tournaments and leagues, Echo Fox is one of the teams that wished to make the most of the new season with a few roster changes. Mohammad ‘mOE’ announced through his Twitter page that he would be stepping down from his active role in the Echo Fox roster. Moe will be replaced by Shahzeb ‘ShahZaM’ Khan.
After announcing his departure publicly on Twitter, Moe decided that he wanted to give his fans a little explanation through his Twitch stream.
Moe suggested that him leaving the Echo Fox roster had nothing to do with any disagreements with between the two parties, there were none. He stressed on the fact that the decision to leave was his alone. He went on to state that his motive to begin a family would be hindered if he had not chosen to step down from the team. And in turn, it would not have been fair to the rest of his teammates for him to not be able to put in a required amount of effort into the team and competitions. As such, it was best for him to leave Echo Fox.
Shahzeb had recently left Optic Gaming. Having been one of the founding members of Optic, it would not have been long before any other organization picked him up from the free agent pool. He was a capable first lineup player at Optic and it makes sense that Echo Fox would want to sign him up.
The team has been sitting pretty low at the North American division of the Esports Championship Series, perhaps signing Shahzeb might turn tables for them.
