There is one that has arrived to take on the Whispers of the Old Gods. Ragnaros will be returning to the fields in order to stand against his old masters.
Ragnaros the Firelord, reborn from his previous existence in the form of Ragnaros, the Lightlord, carrying the same stats as before. The only difference between the two is that the new born Ragnaros’ has the exact opposite effect of healing a random friendly rather than burning away a random enemy.
The new card for Hearthstone was supposed to be revealed on April 1st 2016, according to the system that Blizzard had unofficially set through its previous releases. For some reason, Blizzard’s 1st April came earlier than it should have, or maybe they just could not wait for the reveal. The paladin Legendary Ragnaros Lightlord was revealed only a little while back.
The card is likely to heal a friendly hero for 8. This happens on the first turn, and on the following turns, Ragnaros will be able to attack as well. As a bonus, he will also be able to have a chance to heal himself back to full power.
The Lightlord can be used in combination with other healing cards like the new Forbidden Healing and others. Experimentation and practice will tell what strategy works with the new reveal.
