The Spring Reshuffle has barely settled and there have already been countless changes made to rosters all over the place. Players that are being released from squads are literally scampering everywhere, trying to get their hands on a seat in a team. Quite a lot of teams like Empire, let go of their complete rosters and built from the ground up. This put many decent players into the neutral pool. Many of these players chose the longer venture and formed new squads altogether to compete in the Dota 2 pro scene. Polarity is one of these ventures.
One misunderstanding lead to another, and another lead to a new squad. Recent rumors pointed towards the fact that Virtus Pro had formed another wing branching from their actual squad. In truth, however, this was not the case at all.
It was initially rumored that Polarity is an off-shoot of Virtus Pro, when in reality, the new squad has nothing to do with the Russian eSports organization.
During the Spring Shuffle, Virtus Pro relieved two of their players, Ilya ‘Lil’ Ilyuk and Alexander ‘DkPhobos’ Kucheria. Both of them came together and agreed to form an entirely new squad by the name of Polarity. A perfect example of what the Spring Shuffle had borne for the eSports scene.
So the Dota 2 competitive scene now has another pro team all set to take on the rest. How far is Polarity going to go with their fresh look. Their squad consists of Pavel ‘9pashaebashu’ Khvastunov, Andrey ‘Afoninje’ Afonin, Alexander ‘DkPhobos’ Kucheria, Ilya ‘Lil ‘Ilyuk, and Evgeniy ‘Женя’ Kuznetsov.
